Awards for All continues to be an extraordinarily under-applied for programme. Will they have to return the money for lack of applications? In most if not all English regions there is enough money for all eligible applications to be successful, so the 'regional priorities' are no longer being applied. In some regions there have been so few applications that money has been transferred to another region. How Much? Up to £5k Deadline Luke FitzHerbert, DSC Senior Researcher says: "Should we not wait until April when the maximum grant goes up to £10,000? My advice is not to do this, if only because of the old saw about the value of birds in the hand ... But the new system to be introduced in April may have new requirements which you might not meet."
