The Business Leaders Programme consists of:
- an individual skills review
- a personal action plan
- a certified tailored programme of training and development
- workshop session with group exercises
- comprehensive support materials
All of which is aimed at helping you to become an even more effective manager and improve the performance of your business, whilst also giving you the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised ILM management qualification. (see also http://www.i-l-m.com/home.ilm)
The ILM Qualification
When you work with accountants and lawyers or other professionals, you expect them to have a professional qualification. So why not gain a professional qualification that recognises your own management skills?
The Institute of Leadership and Management is the premier organisation in the UK and internationally with experience in the field of leadership & management.
Every year, ILM recognises the professional development and achievements of managers from team leader to board level, as well as managers of small businesses. Well over half a million managers have improved their own performance and brought real benefit to their businesses by taking part in the ILM programmes. Why not join them?
ILM Introductory Certificate in First Line Management and Team Leading are national recognised awards that focus on the skills necessary to manage people and resources, introducing a range of topics that are key to management development. It is intended for people who are front line managers of small to medium sized businesses.
What does the Leadership & Management programme consist of?
The programme will be explained in full during the Business Leaders Programme workshop. During the workshop you will complete a skills diagnostic and identify areas for development. We will then deliver a tailored programme of learning with instructor-led training and group exercises followed by up to 30 hours of interactive online learning from learndirect.
Upon satisfactory completion of the programme you will become eligible to be an Associate Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management with the right to have the prestigious letters AMInstLM after your name.
How much does all this cost?
The programme costs will be explained in the workshop, but providing you have met the eligibility requirements set out by Business Link, you will be able to claim funding to support your learning.
So if you have ever wanted to gain a formal qualification for your management skills, or get some personal advice on ways to improve your leadership and management skills, or simply get a management makeover to help you to improve your business performance – this is an opportunity not to be missed
Is this programme right for me?
We understand that every minute and every pound counts in business, so we want you to be sure of the benefit and value of the programme.
Attendance at the morning session of the workshop is without obligation. You can decide then and there if you want to continue. There will be no cost to you for attending the morning part of the workshop.
If you like what you see and want to continue with the programme and gain your ILM qualification, you will be asked to commit by making a small contribution towards the full cost of the programme.
