Who Should Attend: This workshop is aimed at chief executives, senior managers, contract managers, project managers, fundraisers and anyone responsible for marketing or negotiating with commissioners of public services. It is also suitable for anyone looking to improve their understanding the procurement and commissioning process and position their organisation more effectively when responding to tenders.
Course Description: This workshop will help you understand the economic, political and practical perspectives that drive commissioning and procurement officers. The workshop will help you understand the most practical approaches in successfully winning tenders. You will also learn about Compact+, Strategic Local Partnerships, the Best Value agenda and preferred supplier lists. The workshop will also take a look at the perceived strengths and weaknesses of the voluntary/community/social enterprise sector as viewed by service commissioners and at the need to implement full cost recovery.
