Volunteer Business Mentors

Are you a successful entrepreneur?
Can you give 1-2 hours a week for up to 6 months?
Are you willing to share your business experiences?
Will you mentor a young person wanting to start their own business?

If so, read on!

Aim of YEP Mentoring Scheme

We need business-based mentors to support YEP beneficiaries by:

  1. raising awareness of different businesses in Lambeth
  2. providing better understanding on challenges and obstacles of being self-employed
  3. giving guidance on best practices within their particular industry
  4. sharing personal experiences of working within their specific sector
  5. facilitating work-shadowing and networking events (where possible)
  6. giving practical advice on how best to operate within the chosen sector
  7. supporting when they start their enterprise
  8. using good communication skills to build confidence and knowledge

and by performing a capacity building role with individual beneficiaries on a 1:1 basis to help gain knowledge, skills and experience within their chosen sector.

Mentoring training will be given and you will be supported throughout the mentoring partnership.

How to apply to become a Volunteer Business Mentor
